Default Possible 4th Continent???

It has been only a matter of weeks since Elona has come out but I think that it is already clear what the 4th continent will be, providing they make a new game.

It appears quite obvious that the only way forward is to South America - Incas, Aztecs etc.

The reason I think this is that all other majorly different, populated continents have really already been used.

Tyria is Southern Europe, Greece and parts of Africa like Israel, etc (look at symlarites of maps) Shiverpeaks=Alps Crystal Desert = Turkey etc. Set during times of the crusades etc. (Reference to White Mantle)

Cantha is Japan/Asia - That one i squite obvious

Elona is Africa - That too is quite obvious

Therefore the only continent left with a long history i.e. Pre-1500's is South America.

It makes sense as well - the Aztecs and Incas had very rich different cultures and the possibilities of the new characters could also work - i.e. Aztec Priest(sacrifices to gods etc)

What does everyone else think??

Not sure what chapter 4 will hold since chapter 3 ends the story arc as we currently know it.

Sigh... you are just... wrong.

Whole Tyria looks more like Noth America to me: From snow to deserts. From forrests to beaches... but...:
- The Rin/Ascalon area was once green and such, and the only part of the first chapter having romanic-like constructions.
- Shiverpeaks are more like the Everest area, there is not so much snow all the time in the alps. Most of the alps are green mountains with white tips, not snow wherever you look at. So much frost there must have magical origin, maybe a touch of Grenth.
- Krytan constructions look more like some precolombine southamerican to me than any in europe ever.
- Something like Maguuma can only be seen in tropical jungles, like those in Southamerica, India and such.
- Turkey is NOT a desert, most of it is green... ¬¬, and only a northern tip is european, all the rest is in minor asia. The crystal desert looks more like a 'lost civilization' are. More like Atlantis. Look at those resurrection shrines...
There are NO jungles or big deserts in europe. There are some desertized areas in Spain, but Europe is mainly mountain and forests.

- Cantha is NOT Japan and Asia, but more like Southeastern Asia and Northwestern Oceania (that includes japan). Asia is VERY big.
- Elona is clearly Africa and Middle East.

Well... here you are, the world:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World
If you look at it you'll se that we have a loot of places yet to see.
Not only in space, but in time.

Celtic
Nordic
Greek
Indian
Rusian
Central Asia
Caribbean
Polynesian
Australian
...

There are dwarves, there could alse be a land of elves closed to foreing people, but they open their barries to call for help... elves always look nice with victorian culture.

There is a lot still to be seen!!

I would not be surprised to see a continental region looking like it bordered the Mediterranean.

4th continent wont be a continent at all, itll be an outer space exploration! instead of riding wurms, you get hover clouds.... anyway ignore that but yeah im really interested in orr more, even though it got obliterated, but in realm of torment theres an undead cleric residing there wondering how orr is.

What is peoples obsession with Orr?? Orr is gone folks. While I won't say for sure that we will never see it, if you go around expecting to see it you will probably be very disapointed.

Aztec/Mian is a very possible future culteral inspiration, but my money is on Ch4 being Norse inspired.

In Nightfall we lear that nothing is casual an nothing is left and forgotten, things come back to bite you in the... ahem...

Well... I can't believe Vizier Khilbron being the sole survivor of Orr.

This is nothing but a speculation thread.. you are supposed to suggest stuff here, and seeing that they have been working on chapter 4 for about 7 months now I doubt this will have any impact at all...

Seriously have they been on it for that long already? I dunno what the next continent might be but I hope if there's a next expansion it doesn't screw up the game as much as Nightfall (I hate heroes) did and cause as many people to quit. Anyway the two expansion continents Cantha and Elona were both mentionned in prophecies so maybe the new one might have been as well, somehow.

Two Dev teams each making alternate games and getting 1 year per game, game dev overlaps by 6 months or so.

Not sure on dates but I think this is right. (important dates only shown)

Bold = Team X, Italics = Team Y (don't know names)

Apr 05:- GWP Released - GWF Started
Oct 05:- GWN Started - GWF Dev'd
Apr 06:- GWN Dev'd - GWF Released, GW4 Started
Oct 06:- GWN Released, GW5 Started - GW4 Dev'd

I'd like to point out that in random pulls you sometimes get the same thing twice. This may or may not be relevent in choosing what the next continent will be about.

Cool my opinion based on what Gaile Gray said...

Gray told us in one of her interviews that the 4 th continent is hinte hat in the manuscripts for nightfall. After reading it through, I realized it mentioned the north a lot (past tyria). The 2 possiblities for this (in my opinion) are a jungle based continent or a shiverpeak continent (snowy). I lean more toward the snowy/shiverpeak continent due to the actuall mentioning of it. "from the highest reaches of the shiverpeeks"...
I realize i could be missenterpreting this, but hey! What if im right!!
P.S they did the same kinda thing for the crystal desert; some of it was part of the prohesies map but most of it was the elonian map. the mountains must continue on past the prophesies map.
There. i have stated my analysis.. time for yours!

Since there are Two developing teams...

That could like...

From #1, North, south, east and west, then One or two 'apart', like factions.

how about something completly original that has no referance to our world?

if people made up their own myths styles and legends thousands of years ago, why cant something completly new be made?
